About

Strategy for people building what’s next.

Our Story

There’s often a gap between what founders think they’re communicating and what the market actually hears. In climate tech, that gap can be costly—affecting how investors, customers, partners, and other stakeholders understand the opportunity in front of them.

Capital Energy started because we kept seeing the same thing: the strength of a business wasn’t always reflected in how that business was perceived.

So we built a way to see the gap, understand why it exists, and close it.

We started by putting our own company under the microscope. What began as a scorecard for ourselves became CapEnergy Insights—a living benchmark spanning hundreds of climate tech and energy companies across multiple ecosystems, and the diagnostic behind every report we deliver.

But measurement is only the beginning. We use what we learn to help companies sharpen their strategy, strengthen their positioning, clarify their story, and move forward—with a clearer view of how they’re showing up in the world.

Then we measure again.

See. Strengthen. Repeat.

We’re based at Greentown Labs in Somerville, Massachusetts, working alongside climate tech companies as they figure out what’s next—and helping make sure the market can see what they see.
